Mercury Is In Its Right Place at the Right Time
As I write this blog, Mercury actually announced itself, and said, “write about me”. I attribute this command to its current position of being retrograde in the sign of Leo. It can be bossy and assertive in its royal imperative . Mercury doesn’t mind the warm sunny glow of Leo. In fact, it finds communication easy going in this sign.
Mercury is the planet of communication and Leo is the sign of creativity, leadership and taking center stage. Along with Mercury, there are other big retrograde planetary players and a marvelous Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse, on July 16/17.
The Moon and Eclipse in Capricorn are exclamation points. These Cosmic planetary guides are emphasizing that we need to observe and acknowledge the monumental changes, that are taking place in our personal and collective world space.
Mercury is very busy helping us decode the messages that are beaming through the planetary positions holding Cancer and Capricorn.
Mercury holds a powerful position as a intermediary between the Sun and the other planets. Blaming this planet for the lack of movement and things not happening instantaneously, is off base. Like every planet, this one has a certain unique, and characteristic message. Essentially, Mercury Rx is about slowing down and taking a “ communication and media pause”.
Meanwhile, as I’ve been cruising through the internet, there’s inevitably a ton of people lamenting that Mercury has done “this, that or the other”, and caused them major inconvenience. There seems to be a lot of “Mercury blaming” going on at the present time.
In reality, Mercury goes retrograde about 3-4 times a year. There seems to be a reason for this cosmic event occurring.
Here's a bit of clarity and insight., The retrograde position is associated with a more reflective, quiet, introspective, and taking time from the usual way of doing things. This deep reflection is especially potent, because along with Mercury, Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron are also retrograde.
In our current cultural climate, there is a demanding kind of attitude, where the expectation is that everything is supposed to happen “right now". Think, “Amazon style ordering ”. You decide you want something, and you get out your smartphone or plastic of choice, place your order and instantaneously, it’s yours. But, if something happens in the ordering process, and it’s retrograde season, immediately it’s because the planet of communication sent out a personal message to impede and thwart your desires.

The Full Moon and Eclipse are placing emphasis on going deep within, and being honest about what has to be totally released. By definition, the full moon is the letting go part of the lunar cycle. When it is topped off with an eclipse, this is a central and gigantic message. Change is Underway!
The sign of Capricorn is about structure and rebuilding. We have a lot of opposition energy occurring with Sun in Cancer, and previous reminder with the Solar eclipse in Cancer.
The overall message is about releasing our attachments to outmoded structures in every area of our lives.
On a collective level we see governmental, social institutions, cultural identities, social customs and mores, breaking down. One of the biggest crises on a global level is the dehumanizing of people in all kinds of ways, and utter disregard for the planet of Earth who supports our very existence.
A New Direction
The North Node in Cancer is the new direction that needs to be heeded. Revitalization through nurturing a new vision and awareness of living is happening. The Divine Feminine and Masculine energies are in a major “Cosmic Dialogue”.
Note: Mercury’s return to the sign of Cancer at 29 degrees on the 19th. On the ground level, women are taking their rightful place in this evolutionary stage of planetary growth.
We have Mercury moving messages, that the Feminine energy won't be "silenced".
We also have one of the big planetary players, Pluto telling us that change is going to happen no matter what. "Resistance is futile"
How will we set ourselves free from the “old order” subservient belief systems, that dictate authority "outside" of ourselves, as the only way?
Truth ! Each of us is being called upon to face our own "Inner" Authority.
