I've been noticing that more and more people are checking their calendars and noting the dates for the new and full moons. The question is why?
Each moon sign is how we feel and experience living on a daily basis. Where ever the moon sits in our astrology charts, gives us major clues as to how we feel and live each day; in particular what gives us emotional and intuitive guidance, feelings of comfort, security and well-being,
Quite possibly the answer to the "big why" is that we intuitively understand the moon as an important cosmic element in our lives. The new and full moons seem to be bringing awareness and understanding to more people, as we explore our connection and place in the ongoing divine creation experience.
So how are you feeling as part of the cosmic dance today? How are you going to take out within the next two or three days to create some enjoyment and have fun? There's no need to get " training" before you jump into your play time.
The Moon in fiery inspirational Leo gives us the perfect opportunity to refresh, relax, reconnect, renew, rejoice, and replay.
Your full moon Walking the Wheel of your astrology chart "life map" clue, is to recall what you loved to play when you were a child. Intuitively and passionately we each know what will bring us absolute "moonful" joy. One of things I love to do is make up words---such fun.
Another enjoyable thing is doing spontaneous improvisation. Hand drums are perfect for improvisation and just letting ourselves play. Everyone can make music and sound for well-being, no training necessary. Here's a drumming clip I just drummed up, no editing.
- drum, dance, make music
- weave, make jewelry, sculpt
- paint, color mandalas, art journal
- play with your astrology chart, tarot, oracle decks
- read, act out plays, monologues
- write poetry, journal, nurture that novel
- do anything that turns your imagination on, and brings you joy and delight.
I would love to get a comment or two about your creative play inspiration, and what makes your heart sing.
Play On!
Warmly yours,
Ruth
