Mooncasting with this powerful Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse is being called a “Blue Super Moon”. Who is She? Why is She causing people to turn cartwheels? Just go out tonight and look at the Moon’s brilliant light. " How are you shining your light into the world life”?
By the way, the Moon is not “blue”. This is a metaphor, a figurative way of indicating a rare occurrence. Astrologically there are no blue moons, except in the famous song, “Blue Moon”.
For us, this rare celestial event is having two full moons in a month, with this second one having the added feature of being part of a lunar eclipse. We started the 2018 New Year with Full Moon in Cancer. When we speak of Cancer, we’re recognizing the very essence and roots of life. The aspects of emotional connection to the mothering archetype, and principle of how everything comes into manifestation.
Here's a brief excerpt from a blog that gives a description of a lunar eclipse: "The Lunar Eclipse is like an energetic time continuum. It is a portal between our conscious outer self, and the Moon which provides a light beam into the collective unconscious realm.
We’re each being invited to look, and step into the unconscious as the Moon Goddess, Herself becomes our Guide, Protector and Illuminator. By definition, the Moon symbolizes the aspect within us that nurtures the essence of our soul being." The full blog: www.soulsoundinsights.com/blog/full-moon-and-lunar-eclipse-in-pisces-diving-deep
Specifically, each one of us has an area in our lives, as revealed through the astrological chart, where we need to understand our essential pattern of emotional connection and expression of receiving and giving emotional support, through care to self and others Below is an excerpt from my previous blog, that talks about understanding the sign of Cancer, and a bit about the 4th house.
“This first 2108 Full Moon cycle, was really about allowing ourselves to experience our feelings and reactions to what gives us emotional security, nurturing, and mothering. The sign of Cancer is also connected to recognizing those instinctive responses about the hidden, and often unconscious parts of self. The beginning of this year, started with questioning and asking,“ what do I need to understand about myself, from the “mother root” of my being". The lunar wisdom, understanding, and awareness can only be discerned from going into the deepest parts of the yourself.” www.soulsoundinsights.com/blog/mooncasting-predict-your-future-super-moon-2018

With this Full Moon in Leo, the second lunar cycle, it becomes imperative to understand the house position of your own Moon, and what other houses it affects. Let’s check an example: In the sample chart above, the sign of Cancer is on the edge (cusp) of the 9th house, and the Moon is positioned in the 9th house. Our sample shows that the sign of Leo is on the 10th house cusp. Our example individual, is someone who has to make herself known in the world. She shines no matter what's going on in her life.
The guiding planet Sun (luminary) gives her added sparkle. At the beginning of January, what did this individual need to understand about the hidden and unconscious aspects of herself? What nurtures the deepest parts of her? Our example person, has to shine her "light" because Leo is an essential aspect of how she nurtures herself.
Check your chart and see how these and many other questions affect you?. Where is your natal Leo positioned? How is this full moon and lunar eclipse directing you to shine who you are ?
One of the major observations I"ve had over the course of this month is about many, many people experiencing a myriad of health issues. At the root of health conditions, there seems to be issues of needing and wanting to be nurtured.. But, perhaps the first principle of health, is the willingness to release old negative belief systems that don't serve you well.. This Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse are a signal about releasing old habits and roles. Leo speaks to claiming your ability to be own your light and power.
So, as we each gain greater power and understanding of our deep roots and inner wisdom, it becomes easier to stand in the full light of this Leo Moon, and shine our lights into the world.
