Quite often, I find that as the moon waxes toward Her Full Moon Shine, my sleep patterns are slightly altered. My dreams become more vivid and colorful, while my sleep is a bit more up and down, and sprinkled with bouts of wakefulness.

For a few days now,  I’ve been pondering this Full Moon, and what it means in the sign of Scorpio.  Each of the zodiac signs has a particular style and expression. Most people equate astrology with the Sun sign energy that’s assigned at birth which is depicted  in the natal map.  But the moon's lunar energy has an intrinsic and  psychic pull that feels mysterious,  and doesn’t give rise to verbal descriptions.  The Moon is how we feel at the deep core of self.

This is the one sign that seems to bring up an overwhelming amount of intrigue and mystery.  Even with the visual symbolism of this sign, there's an edge of mystery.  Here we have the scorpion, the eagle, and the mythical "phoenix bird".  Could each of these images be levels of life that every person experiences?  How are these symbols playing out in your "Story"?

Scorpio is a sign that brings everyone face to face with the most fundamental issues of life and mortality.  The first description that’s often used to characterized Scorpio, is the element of sexuality. It’s important to recognize that every person comes into this world on the earth plane by way of the act  of procreation; a female and male come together in the sex act, and this connection results in  the eventual birth of a third being.

So Scorpio is profoundly creative because it tells us that everything has to start with the inception of an idea, it has to be planted in a fertile growing place, given space to expand and be nurtured into self awareness.  Scorpio is intimately connected with creation and birthing.

Scorpio guided by the planet Pluto,  is the sign within our astrological chart where the most intimate and powerful energetic power of creation gives us the gateway into the eternal cycle of birth, death and rebirth.  Scorpio is really the sign of equality, because it provides the essential and fundamental foundation for everyone. The cycles of transformation, transmutation, and death  are the same no matter a person's status or station in life.

So what is it that we’re being offered during this intense, concentrated time of the Scorpio Full Moon?  Here are some suggestions:

• Release what no longer serves your life.
  
• Are you telling the same old story and getting the same old results?
  
• What are the toxic behaviors, fears, false beliefs and untruths and emotional baggage holding you hostage?
• Every time you meet someone do you repeat the same old worn out descriptions about yourself?
• Ready to use the energy of this Moon time to make  permanent changes?,
  
• Want to claim this Full Moon and make deep emotional connection with your inner desires and real life intentions?
  
• Ready to step into "Your New Story" with renewed Soul Purpose and Powerful Life Direction?
  

Scorpio reveals a multi-faceted perspective as an emotionally intense and exacting sign. On one hand, it’s concerned with mundane things such as taxes, inheritances, other people’s money and accumulation of debt. But, it is also the sign of wealth building and connection with other people in building long term financial situations and associations.

On the occult and psychic level, it brings understanding and awareness that the material concerns mentioned  above, are really very impermanent and are always changing. So this Full in Scorpio, is the absolute perfect opportunity to take a look at what we keep telling ourselves about our lives.

Do you keep telling the same "old money, health, relationship, poverty, or blaming something or someone about what's going on in your life story?"  Scorpio is the sign of being 100 % committed.  It basically speaks to us of being all in to life, or out of it.

Yes, Scorpio appears and is “heavy duty”, but there’s something very wonderful about it.  Scorpio gives us gifts of laughter, humor, joy and deep wisdom. So go ahead and let go of some things which need to be gone right now.

Mooncasting with this powerful  Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse is being called a “Blue Super Moon”.  Who is She? Why is She causing people to turn cartwheels?  Just go out tonight and look at the Moon’s brilliant light. " How are you shining your light into the world life”?

By the way, the Moon is not “blue”.  This is a metaphor, a figurative way of indicating  a rare occurrence.  Astrologically there are no blue moons, except in the famous song, “Blue Moon”.

For us, this rare celestial event is having two full moons in a month, with this second one  having the added feature of being part of a lunar eclipse.  We started the 2018 New Year with Full Moon in Cancer. When we speak of Cancer, we’re  recognizing the very essence and roots of life.  The aspects of emotional connection to the mothering archetype, and principle of how everything comes into manifestation.

What New Moon seed(s) are you planting?  Over the course of the lunar cycle, Sept 19-20th through Oct. 18th, it's providing us with a powerful time for incubating, sprouting, budding and blossoming something new.  Since we are in the astrological sign of Virgo we are being offered a major life and cosmic opportunity for deep growth, healing, self- revelation and giving service.

Here are five suggestions for using this time wisely.

• Moon in Virgo is offering wisdom and insight on taking care of our health(body/mind, emotions, and spirit).  This is the time to pay attention to the messages from your body.  It’s important to be willing to listen from the inside out.  Pick one new habit or attitude as a new point of focus. Perhaps learning a unique way to meditate that is tailored to your life.
• Mercury in Virgo is about gaining clarity through establishing thinking and communicating with yourself and others in a open and realistic way.  This may be the time to get a planner, diary or organizing system that works for you.  Most all, speak your truth.
• Venus in Virgo can bring beauty and functionality together.  Along with the Moon, this is the perfect time to clear things which no longer have any use.  Pass things on to others.  This is being of service to others in a Virgo kind of way.
• Mars in Virgo is about taking action on the changes we know that are needed.  Mars is the guiding planet for Aries, planet of new beginnings.  With the sign of Virgo, it’s about analyzing and putting the new system into operation.  Mars likes action, no procrastinating here!
• Find the house(s) where you have Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars.  This New Moon is a new beginnings one that works in a very grounded, and "let's get it done way".  With the fall equinox occurring on Sept. 22, it's a magnificent time to declare your own Manifesto.
  

Three Remedies for Using New Moon Energy

• What unique quality will you seek during this lunar cycle?  Use this prompt to help you write your” New Moon Manifesto”.
• Virgo is guided by the planet Mercury.  Another helpful remedy is to chant the seed mantra “Hum” any time you need to relax, calm and sooth yourself.  This mantra is associated with the throat chakra.
• Here's one last thing.  All of us are being called to service in our world.  Our planet Earth is in a deep healing situation, just as each one of us is feeling these momentous changes.  Our collective healing remedy, is to reach out in whatever way resonates with each of us.
